They did a better-than-average job of reporting financial scandals. And no one was more baffled than they are about why no one was going to jail. Steve Kroft said that so many people who were totally irresponsible walked away with so much money, and that it was a disgrace. As the signs of the collapse got clearer in 2007, 60 Minutes was one of the few media parties who saw the tea leaves of what would become the subprime mortgage crisis.
