"Buy, buy, buy" - that's all the networks know
CNBC and FBN are simply infomercials for the big brokerage houses. Their advertisers don't profit unless you mindlessly purchase whatever they are discussing. So all discussion is framed in terms of squandering money impulsively. Putting your money in stable commodities -- such as land, Treasuries, or just deposits in noncorrupt financial institutions such as credit unions -- is doing more than just purchasing whatever crap the financial news networks dangle in front of you.
