Why should we raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour?

For one, the number of the “working poor”, people who work full-time yet are still in poverty, is rising. Shouldn’t anyone who works full time be able to live about the poverty line?

Another reason: consumer demand helps drive the economy. With so many people who can’t afford to consume, demand suffers.

Here’s the argument for raising the minimum wage.
